A trial session is highly recommended for the bride. This allows us to make sure we find the right style for you and can make it perfect on your big day. Pictures for inspiration are very welcome! It works great to schedule these before a dress fitting!
Trial sessions take place at Haba Salon in Iowa City, IA and are an additional cost of the bridal services listed above. Please arrive with clean dry hair (for hair services) and a clean face (for makeup). If hair extensions are to be incorporated, please bring those along!
Booking + add ons
Booking fee
A fee of $50 will be due in order to secure your date. This fee covers my travel to & from the location. This is in addition to service pricing, not a deposit toward services. This is nonrefundable and non transferable. It is to be paid after a quote is given and date/services are agreed upon. This fee includes travel to locations within 30 miles of the Iowa City area. Please read below for travel beyond 30 miles.
Add on options
I always make sure to stay around for any touch ups before getting dressed and leaving for pictures! However, if you’d like me to stay any longer, you have options
$50/hour for all hair and makeup services throughout pictures & ceremony
$100 for hairstyle change/haircut immediately after ceremony
Travel
As stated above, travel within a 30 mile distance from the Iowa City area is covered by your booking fee. However, if the onsite location takes place out of that radius, an additional 65 cents/mile to and from location will be charged along with service prices. This fee covers driving time and mileage.

The Fine Print
Service Payment: Payment options include cash or card (NO CHECKS, VENMO, CASHAPP, etc. will be accepted). 6%. sales tax will be added to card transactions. Though individuals are welcome to pay separately, brides or booking parties are responsible for any remaining service amount due. Services must be paid in full at time of completion on the service date. Once payment is received, IT IS NONREFUNDABLE.
Maximum amount of services: After inquiry is received, Phelan will provide details on the amount of services she can complete in the given time frame. All schedules and services are subject to Phelan’s approval and will be agreed upon prior to booking.
Additional artists: Multiple stylists may be needed in cases of large parties and limited time. If an additional stylist is needed, Phelan may offer recommendations but is not responsible for coordination.
Cancellation fee: In the case of a cancellation by the bride less than 60 days before the wedding date, a 50% fee of total services will be charged.
Rescheduling: In the case of rescheduling the wedding date, Phelan will try her best to accommodate the new date. However, any payment from the original date is nonrefundable and nontransferable, therefore an additional $50 booking fee will be charged in order to reschedule.
Entire wedding party: Please arrive by the set start time with clean, DRY hair and a clean face. Blowdrying time may be subject to an additional cost. This ensures we start on time and stay on schedule!
